2. Cylinder Flange

 

First, at the transition arc, cracks appear on the outer surface of the Cylinder Flange and gradually expand in the circumferential direction and the inner wall, or the cracks expand to the nail hole, causing the flange to partially fall off. In severe cases, the flange adjustment ring may crack and fall off along the transition arc.

3. Cylinder Base

 

First, annular cracks begin to appear on the inner surface of the transition arc at the bottom of the cylinder and gradually expand to the outer wall. This is a crack.

 

4. Cavitation

 

Hydraulic cylinders can also be damaged by honeycomb pitting caused by cavitation, and it is easy to cause cavitation on the inner wall of the inlet hole!

5. Design Reasons

 

The structural dimensions are not designed properly, such as the flange height is too small or the flange outer diameter is too large, which makes the weight of the integrated part too high and damages it.

 

6. Hydraulic Piston Rod

 

The Hydraulic Piston Rod is usually made of chrome-plated rod, also known as cylinder rod. This part is usually subjected to high stress. Therefore, if the mechanical properties of the chrome-plated rod are poor, or the heat treatment is improper (for example, the induction hardening chrome-plated rod is not hardened), the hydraulic piston rod is also easy to be damaged.
